Bromeliad Neoregelia

Bromeliad neoregelia
Neoregelia 'Apricot Beauty' is one of many brightly colored Neoregelias that enjoy full sun. This plant boasts broad, leathery, apricot colored leaves. It is described by Bromeliads Online as “tough” and can handle a few frosts. Neoregelias make excellent ground cover landscape plants.
Do bromeliads like full sun or shade?
Most bromeliads thrive in bright, indirect sunlight or dappled shade. Many bromeliads will scorch when exposed for long periods of time to direct sunlight. Most bromeliads require more humidity than is typical in a climate controlled environment.
Does Neoregelia need soil?
Though they typically grow epiphytically, Neoregelia 'Fireball' can be grown in substrate as long as it has excellent drainage and aeration. Seeing as Neoregelia tend to absorb water and nutrients primarily through their “cup” rather than their roots, they don't need nutrient rich soil either.
Do Neoregelia flower?
This plant is grown for its rosettes of glossy, colourful leaves which are often flushed with a brilliant pink or violet when flowering approaches. Small white or violet flowers are borne in the 'Vase' of the plant.
